It is always an adventure with Lidia Carrasco!
"Vero, get dressed we are going..." GOING WHERE??? ...the Davis Cup at Plaza de Toros to see Rafa Nadal. My first tennis match and with Lidia nothing is less than VIP. We were both confused on what was going on but we had a blast and left early because of the rain.

Wednesdays are for the girls.
Roxana and I were invited by our dear friend, Emilien to a show put on by students from Berklee School of Music here in Valencia. "Women in Music" was a night dedicated to Yvette Noel-Schure. She is a well-known publicist for some of the world's top artist including Beyonce and Prince! It is always an honor to be surrounded by such talented women! It is finally warming up in Valencia so we took our work outside today.
Roxana and I went to the Port and worked very hard! Truth is, we are going to IBIZA in a few weeks and finding it hard to focus. If this is working hard, how do we party harder? Good friends with good taste.
My first time going to Contrapunto in the City of Arts & Sciences for lunch and it was soooo good. We might have accidentally drank two bottles of wine. I LOVE LUNCH IN SPAIN! Afterwards, we had coffee on the terrace. Somehow I only took one picture of the food, sorry. An unplanned Easter Sunday in Port Saplaya!
I signed up to go on a trip but it was cancelled and I didn't get the memo. Needless to say, I was up early with nothing to do. I probably could have gone back home and crawled back into bed but remembered I had never been to Port Saplaya. Google maps said it was about 20 mins (this was a lie) on the bike so I decided to check it out. I ended up riding the city bike through dirt roads and fields wondering where in the world I was headed. It is times like these when I have no idea where I am and I just start laughing hysterically. I can't explain it but I don't feel lost, I'm just genuinely so happy to be exploring. When I finally reached Port Saplaya Beach I was relieved to get off that bike but also amazed by how beautiful it was. It was early morning so no one was on the beach and it was so peaceful. I walked along the beach and had a Little Mermaid Moment on the rocks! Dreams come true everyday if you just try lol. Port Saplaya is known for its harbor and beautiful buildings and called the Little Venice of Valencia. I walked around the harbor, took plenty of pictures and then ended at a restaurant to enjoy a glass (or three) of delicious vino tino (red wine) and a view. Also, it is EASTER SUNDAY and HE IS RISEN. I found a palm leaf and made a cross. I get crafty from my mama. When I asked for the check and the waiter came back with my change he was shaking so bad. Poor guy looked like he was about to have a heart attack. I even asked if he was okay, legit concerned for this guy's health. I left and went to put my change in my purse and realized he had slipped his number. Awe so cute. Shoot your shot. |
AuthorTraveling alone has been the scariest, most liberating, and life-changing experience of my life, so I thought I would document it. My blog is named Table For 1 to inspire others to lose the fear of being alone and to get rid of any self-doubt. You deserve anything and everything you work hard for. Categories
