One more week before I go back to the States for the holidays.
Lidia loves her Valencia basketball team so we went to the game and later joined Roxana for wine and dancing. Love these girls so much. My big sister's best friends have taken such good care of me.

What is a Capea?
I had no idea what I was getting into when my new Spanish friends invited me to a "capea" but it was so much fun! Good thing I got the "white shirt" memo and did not wear heels. A Capea is a celebration in which amateurs (in the case drunk idiots) run around in an arena from the bulls. I only watched from above in the bleachers, screaming for my life! It was so entertaining to watch and glad no one got hurt. I am back in Valencia and already at the beach celebrating “Fiesta Nacional de España”!
I will be continuing work with the same software and jewelry company with a raise and more hours. Thank God for Roxana, my "fairy job-mother" and my new roomie, Lidia! Headed to back Texas!
The 10 months in Valencia with my sis and her family have been so much fun! I am so grateful for them letting me tag along in their crazy life. ....to be continued. This is my amazing Spanish teacher, Chiqui! We are having our last lesson at Saona Gran Via. Their chocolate cake with nuts is amazing!
Chiqui has done the impossible and taught me Spanish. I have been taking courses with her since September and she works wonders. If you need a teacher in Valencia, check her out here. Also, she amazing daughters if you need a reliable sitter! |
AuthorTraveling alone has been the scariest, most liberating, and life-changing experience of my life, so I thought I would document it. My blog is named Table For 1 to inspire others to lose the fear of being alone and to get rid of any self-doubt. You deserve anything and everything you work hard for. Categories
