Home for a day then back on the road to Waco, Texas for my best friend's wedding!
We met Travis two years ago at the Red Dress Run in New Orleans while he was wearing a red dress! He literally swept Kaitlin off her feet. We have an actual photo. I wouldn't miss this day for the world. Jet lag is real but the show must go on! Today is rehearsals and the Gathering Oaks venue is absolutely stunning.

Early flights and the classic Starbucks/Passport pic in the VLC airport!
Layover in Amsterdam and this cafe had the cutest backdrop. However, the 11 euro bagel and coffee were terrible. After a long trip my sweet Tia Margie brought me to Grandma Rosa's for my favorite carne guisada! Texas welcomed me back with a beautiful sunset. It is good to be home. At airports you find the hardest goodbyes and the best hellos.
I am never gone for too long and social media keeps us all "connected" but I am still going to miss my mama! I had such a great time in Texas visiting with family and friends. This crazy Spain life isn't over for me just yet! Back to Valencia. All my mama wanted for Christmas was pictures of ALL her babies (sorry Christina and Rachel)
Looking back, maybe we need a redo shoot. Rachel was out of town and Christina was at home. The 3 Olivarez The 3 Satos and the 3 Browns I love being an aunt to these crazy hilarious kids! They each hold a special place in my heart and I pray God continues to watch over them. My hope is one day they will see my website and it will inspire them to chase their dreams, travel the world and have stories to tell. Bought my white Betsy Johnson dress from Steinmart. Rose Gold Scarf from Burlington. Photos by my talented cousin, Victoria Rose. Merry Christmas!
I feel Christmas is changing every year. Everyone is making new traditions with their new and growing families. This year, it was Mom, Dad and "the 3 kids" missing Christina and Rachel. One thing remains the same is the amount of laughs and good food! The Candlelight Service at our church is one of my favorite traditions to do as a family. My Pastor asked me last minute to read a scripture and light a candle in front of everyone, God included. I think "Old Vero" would have said no but I have learned to take advantage of opportunities. I'm sure it made my mom and dad proud to see me up there too. I was scrambling for last minute Christmas gifts at TJ Maxx and came across this game called "Awkward Family Photos". It is a spin off of Apples to Apples and man, did that have us rolling! My favorite dessert to make are Brookies. Brownies with chocolate chip cookies in them! This year, I added in vanilla oreos and there were so good! Triple Threat Brookies! My Grandma Rosa says if you can read a recipe, you can cook/bake. Here is what I use for my Famous Brookies. |
AuthorTraveling alone has been the scariest, most liberating, and life-changing experience of my life, so I thought I would document it. My blog is named Table For 1 to inspire others to lose the fear of being alone and to get rid of any self-doubt. You deserve anything and everything you work hard for. Categories
