My favorite thing to do when traveling is using the good 'ole tourist map. I circle my must-see places and make my route. This day trip to Madrid was a whopping 26,976 steps, according to my iPhone Health App.
Classic places to check out: Plaza Mayor, San Gines Chocolateria, Statue of the Bear and the Strawberry Tree, Circulo de Bellas Artes, Real Jardin Botanico, Mercado de San Miguel, Royal Palace of Mardid, and Temple of Debod!

New Orleans, LA - My second "Red Dress Run" with one of my very best friends, Kaitlin to celebrate her birthday!
Read more about the charity "run" here. This Run meets Pub Crawl is so entertaining and you meet interesting people. (Kaitlin met her soon-to-be husband at last years' Red Dress Run, while he was wearing a RED DRESS!) Headed to Washington, D.C. with my traveling Tia Margie for the 4th of July celebrations! We sparkled in USA hats and just sweated the whole time! This Summer heat is no joke!
The highlight of our trip was sitting on the Capitol lawn for the Independence Day Concert hosted by the beautiful John Stamos! Andalucia is a region in the southern part of Spain. I went on a weekend trip to see cities: Sevilla, Cordoba, Cadiz, and Granada.
In Sevilla, I visited the famous Alcazar castle and bought a flamenco dress! #wheninspain Cordoba was my favorite of the 4 cities. Flowers are everywhere and it was just a beautiful place to be! The Mezquita Mosque-Cathedral was breathtaking! Long story short, the catholics were unable to tear down the mosque so then built their cathedral smack dab in the middle and they made it spectacular! I went to the Carnival de Cadiz and enjoyed the massive crowds and crazy costumes! Granada reminded me a lot of Valencia but still had its own character. I watched a Flamenco show and saw the Alhambra at night! Went exploring with my new friend, Melany!
The San Jose Caves are spectacular. We rode in super small boats through the caves and at one point it got so tight we were almost laying down flat in the boat to get through. Quite scary and definitely not legal in States! Just kidding. Great experience. Read more about the caves here. Peniscola was a dream! It is its own city on a peninsula, completely surrounded by water. Any Game of Thrones fans? A lot of the scenes were shot here! Read more about Peniscola here. |
AuthorTraveling alone has been the scariest, most liberating, and life-changing experience of my life, so I thought I would document it. My blog is named Table For 1 to inspire others to lose the fear of being alone and to get rid of any self-doubt. You deserve anything and everything you work hard for. Categories
