Merry Christmas!
I feel Christmas is changing every year. Everyone is making new traditions with their new and growing families. This year, it was Mom, Dad and "the 3 kids" missing Christina and Rachel. One thing remains the same is the amount of laughs and good food! The Candlelight Service at our church is one of my favorite traditions to do as a family. My Pastor asked me last minute to read a scripture and light a candle in front of everyone, God included. I think "Old Vero" would have said no but I have learned to take advantage of opportunities. I'm sure it made my mom and dad proud to see me up there too. I was scrambling for last minute Christmas gifts at TJ Maxx and came across this game called "Awkward Family Photos". It is a spin off of Apples to Apples and man, did that have us rolling! My favorite dessert to make are Brookies. Brownies with chocolate chip cookies in them! This year, I added in vanilla oreos and there were so good! Triple Threat Brookies! My Grandma Rosa says if you can read a recipe, you can cook/bake. Here is what I use for my Famous Brookies.
